Bio: Anvin is a distinguished educator and humanitarian who brings professional test-development experience to the Matchpal team. As the creator of Matchpal’s Pediatrics Sub-Internship Bootcamp, he specializes in preparing students for their most critical clinical rotations. A graduate of NYITCOM, his academic excellence was recognized globally when he received an Honorable Mention for the AACOM Global Scholar of the Year award (2023) and was nominated for Student Doctor of the Year.
Anvin possesses deep expertise in medical pedagogy. He was selected for the competitive Academic Medicine Scholar Program, where he taught and co-led over 60 hours of OMM, Clinical Skills, and Anatomy sessions. Beyond the classroom, he worked professionally for a medical test prep company, researching, writing, and editing USMLE Step 1 questions. This background allows him to break down complex material and individualize learning objectives for his mentees.
His commitment to service is equally impressive. As Vice President of the Global Health Organization, Anvin helped establish a food pantry initiative. He also volunteered at a student-run free clinic, providing forensic medical and psychological evaluations for asylum seekers—work that contributed to his induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Anvin is a “super-user” turned mentor; he credits Matchpal’s resources with helping him match into his top-choice program and is eager to pay that success forward.
Outside of medicine, Anvin keeps his cultural heritage alive by playing the chenda (a drum specific to Kerala, India) with his father. He is also an avid baker, recently mastering baklava cheesecake bars.
